1. Large-scale equipment: When large-scale equipment requires the installation of accessories, such as sight glasses, mechanical seal seats, or gearbox frames. Since these accessories are frequently removed, the threads can become worn or damaged; replacing them with double-ended studs is more convenient. In such cases, one end of the double-ended stud is screwed into the main body, and a nut is secured to the other end after the accessory is installed.

2. Double-ended studs are also used when the material being joined is very thick and requires an exceptionally long bolt.

3. Thick plates and areas where hex bolts cannot be used, such as concrete roof trusses.

To facilitate the process, first thread one end of the stud into two nuts. Then, use two wrenches to grip these two nuts and tighten them against each other. Then, screw the other end into the hole, clamp the two nuts, and apply force to the shank to tighten the stud and achieve a secure fastening. Finally, loosen the two nuts separately, then remove them from the stud.
