The Anti-loosening Principle of Nuts

Mar 01, 2026 Leave a message

The DISC-LOCK anti-loosening nut consists of two components, each featuring interlocking cams. Due to an internal wedge-locking design-in which the ramp angle exceeds the thread pitch angle of the bolt-this assembly locks tightly together to form a single, integral unit. When vibration occurs, the interlocking cams of the DISC-LOCK nut slide against one another, generating a lifting tension that effectively prevents loosening.
