U-Bolt

U-Bolt

The U-bolt is a commonly used fastening component. With fully threaded ends, it can be quickly clamped and secured to pipes, steel structural beams, steel cables, tank supports, and more when paired with a nut and clamping plate. This bolt distributes force evenly, resists slippage and tensile stress, and is easy to install. It is widely used in piping projects, solar panel mounting systems, automotive chassis, bridge guardrails, steel structure workshops, agricultural machinery, and construction equipment. You can customize any size based on the pipe’s outer diameter, wall thickness, and installation spacing.

Product Introduction

Products Description

U-bolts are U-shaped fasteners designed to securely hold pipes, tubes, cables, or round structures in place. They are widely used in construction, automotive, plumbing, marine, and industrial applications where reliable clamping and support are required.

For example, when installing a water pipe on a wall or securing an exhaust pipe underneath a truck, a U-bolt can firmly clamp the pipe to a bracket and prevent movement caused by vibration or external forces.

Functions of U-Bolts

1. Fastening: U-bolts are primarily used to secure two or more objects together, preventing relative movement. They are mainly used to secure two or more objects together, preventing relative movement and ensuring the stability and safety of the structure.

2. Load-bearing Capacity: Due to their unique shape, U-bolts offer a large contact area and high load-bearing capacity, making them suitable for use under high pressure and heavy loads.

3. Environmental Adaptability: U-bolts can be designed to meet the requirements of different environments; for example, stainless steel versions are suitable for corrosive environments, while galvanized versions are ideal for outdoor projects.

Typical Applications

  • Piping Systems: Fire protection piping, drainage piping, and fixed supports and hangers for chemical process piping
  • Renewable Energy (PV): Reinforcement of PV mounting columns and crossbeams, solar power plants
  • Vehicles and Machinery: Truck chassis, leaf springs for trailers, and agricultural machinery
  • Steel Structure Buildings: Factory steel beams, column tie-ins, guardrail reinforcement
  • Municipal Roads and Bridges: Bridge pipelines, streetlight poles, traffic barrier fastenings
  • Corrosion-Resistant Applications: 316 stainless steel models recommended for coastal areas and chemical plant sites

Installation Tips

  • Select U-bolts that match the pipe diameter; ensure they fit snugly against the pipe wall without any gaps.
  • When tightening, apply even pressure to both nuts to prevent deformation caused by uneven tightening on one side.
  • Do not weld or cut outdoor galvanized parts; if the protective coating is damaged, repaint the area.
  • For equipment subject to vibration, we recommend installing spring washers and using double nuts.

FAQ

Can U-bolts secure square tubing?

Yes. We support custom bending radii and opening dimensions for both round and square tubing.

How do I choose between hot-dip galvanized and stainless steel?

For general outdoor use, choose hot-dip galvanized. For coastal areas or environments with acid or alkali corrosion, prioritize 304/316 stainless steel.

Can you manufacture based on provided drawings?

Yes. Simply provide CAD drawings, and we can proceed with mold production.
